Glasnost Gone

I keep wishing I can report some good news about the conflict, but sadly there isn’t any. Inevitably, with increased fighting/firing, comes the inevitable civilian deaths and injuries, not to mention destruction of property, seen on both sides of the line.

Latest weekly report from the head of the OSCE in Ukraine, reports a staggering, 7,700 ceasefire violations, 2 civilians killed by (Russian) shelling in Ukrainian held Troitske and (Russian) MRLS rockets used against Ukrainian held Avdiivka & other areas. OSCE are investigating reports of a further 4 civilian deaths. All in all, they report last week as having been the worst for fighting thus far in 2018.
