Activists in Russia are protesting Russia’s blocking of Telegram messaging app by throwing paper airplanes.

It’s about the FSB making everyone understand that there will be more censorship.

There is no First Amendment in Russia, there is no freedom of speech, and Russia goes to extraordinary lengths to make sure their secret security services can monitor and censor all messaging apps and other means of freely communicating with the outside world.

Pussy Riot activist Maria Alyokhina has been sentenced to 100 hours of community service for throwing paper airplanes in support of the Telegram messaging app — which Russia is trying to block.
