Yesterday, in the Luhansk region, Ukrainian military returned the bodies of two dead, Russian led soldiers. The killing of them is usually a result of Russian led forces having sent out a recon patrol to scout close to Ukrainian positions. The risk of stepping on a mine, setting off a trip wire explosive, or getting shot in a fire fight is extremely high, with soldiers routinely killed, maimed, or captured.
This forward patrolling is practiced by both sides.
Such as on this occasion, the Veterans of Afghanistan organisation, routinely helps with the repatriation of dead soldiers. Picture above shows Ukrainian military having advanced into no man’s land. Putting the two bodies into a van, the vehicle will then return to Russian led lines. Full video on the event.
